Darkside Kings Clothing (DSK) approached Nightowl Design Studio to develop a website to sell their premium apparel with a view to later introducing other merchandise such as stickers and accessories. Initially, there will be a limited number of premium men’s products that will be followed up with a female line. The website was to be based entirely around the shopfront but at our suggestion, Brad & Bec agreed to allow us to add a bit more of a personal touch describing how the business originated. The styling and colour palette for the website was to be based on their newly designed logo with the dominant colours being black & gold. DSK’s original vision was of having the dark moody style of a speakeasy. With the logo style in mind and after doing some research, we pitched the concept of building the site based around a lifestyle that included skating, motorcycles and music. Brad & Bec loved the idea and we ran with it while keeping some of the dark mood. We think we hit the nail on the head with sales being strong as soon as the site was launched!
